JRFD Offline Knowledge Base
Purpose: a clean offline library for wildfire operations, officer development, training, administration, apparatus references, and Joe Rich local knowledge.
Designed for use with Project N.O.M.A.D., Internet-in-a-Box, a shared station computer, USB drive, or local file server.
Suggested workflow
- Put official PDFs, maps, manuals, and forms into the matching folders.
- Keep file names clear and searchable.
- Add a short note to the Update Log whenever something is added or replaced.
- Avoid storing private member medical, discipline, or sensitive HR information here unless access is properly controlled.
- For AI search, prefer PDFs, Markdown, text files, and clear file names.
Naming format
Use names like:
- 2026-06-11_Wildfire_Practice_Three_Forks_Creek.md
- JRFD_SOG_Wildfire_Response_v2026-01.pdf
- E52_Pump_Panel_Quick_Reference.pdf
Versioning
Use dates or version numbers in the file name. Keep old documents in an Archive folder if needed.
